According to Percept One monitoring, a group chat screenshot provided by netizens shows that the DeepSeek Harness team plans to release its first Harness product alongside the V4 official version. It is a code intelligence agent product that is internally benchmarked against Claude Code, responsible for enabling the model to read and write files, call tools, execute commands, and continuously complete engineering tasks.
Earlier, DeepSeek announced that the V4 official version was scheduled to go live in mid-July, simultaneously implementing surge pricing. It is now July 20th, and the original timeframe has passed. Unless the plan has been adjusted again, both V4 and Harness are now in the countdown to release.
DeepSeek has previously focused on helping developers integrate V4 with third-party tools such as Claude Code and OpenCode, but this time they are finally stepping up to launch their own code Agent product.
