Retail Investors Taking Profit on Tech Stock Gains, Net Selling $125 Million of SanDisk Last Week

BlockBeats News, July 17th, The Kobeissi Letter reported that retail investors are cashing out gains from the tech stock rally. Last week, retail investors net sold $125 million of AMD stock, the largest net selling volume among all individual stocks; Apple and Tesla saw net selling of $120 million and $105 million respectively.


During the same period, retail investors also net sold $65 million of NVIDIA, $40 million of American Airlines, and $22 million of Meta stock. In the past two weeks, retail net selling of Apple and Tesla has reached $200 million each.


Meanwhile, retail individual stock trading volume has surged to a record $370 billion, exceeding the $220 billion at the beginning of 2026. After the historic surge in tech stocks, retail investors are taking profits.
