Retail Investors Take Profit on Tech Stock Gains, Net Selling $125 Million of SanDisk Last Week

BlockBeats News, July 17th, The Kobeissi Letter published an article stating that retail investors are cashing out gains from the tech stock surge. Last week, retail investors net sold $125 million of AMD stock, the largest net selling amount among all individual stocks; Apple and Tesla saw net selling of $120 million and $105 million respectively.


During the same period, retail investors also net sold $65 million of NVIDIA, $40 million of American Airlines, and $22 million of Meta stock. In the past two weeks, retail net selling of Apple and Tesla has reached $200 million each.


At the same time, retail individual stock trading volume has risen to a record $370 billion, surpassing the $220 billion in early 2026. After a historic surge in tech stocks, retail investors are now taking profits.
