U.S. Stock Futures Slip Premarket as Semiconductor, Storage, and Optical Communication Sectors Decline; Western Digital Falls Over 7%, SK Hynix ADR Drops Over 6%

BlockBeats News, July 16th, according to BIT (bit.com) market data, US pre-market trading saw a general decline in semiconductor stocks. Arm dropped by 4.70%, TSMC by 4.52%, Marvell Technology by 3.77%, AMD by 3.25%, ON Semiconductor by 3.12%, and NVIDIA by 1.62%.


The storage sector experienced significant losses, with Western Digital falling by 7.13%, SK Hynix ADR by 6.66%, SanDisk by 6.69%, Seagate Technology by 5.46%, and Micron Technology by 4.11%.


Optical communication stocks showed a collective weakness, as Astera Labs dropped by 4.45%, Coherent by 4.43%, Corning by 4.19%, Applied Optoelectronics by 3.98%, Nokia by 3.82%, and Credo by 3.61%.
