According to MotionEye Research, following the adoption of affordable and open-weighted Chinese models by users, these users and enterprise deployments have now started translating into revenue.
Menlo Ventures partner Deedy Das, after summarizing financial reports, media coverage, and market intelligence, estimates that the annual revenue of Intellectify, DeepSeek, DarkSide of the Moon, SensiWare, and MiniMax combined is approximately $2.6 billion.
Specifically, Intellectify accounts for around $1 billion. DeepSeek and SensiWare each contribute around $500 million, MiniMax around $400 million, and DarkSide of the Moon around $200 million. Four out of the five teams have already entered the top 25 global AI company revenues list. The competitiveness of Chinese models is now expanding from low cost and open weighting to API, subscription, enterprise deployment, and cloud services.
