Former Head of Alibaba's Thousand Questions Code Joins Leading Domestic Firm to Lead AI Coding

According to Dongcha Beating monitoring, multiple insiders have revealed that Huibin Hui, the former head of Ali Communications' Qwen Code, has joined a domestic internet giant as the AI Coding Algorithm Lead. The specific company has not been disclosed.

Huibin Hui left Alibaba in January 2026. Prior reports by The Evening Point suggested he joined Meta, a description that was subsequently picked up by several media outlets.

Huibin Hui was a key member of the Qwen-Coder series, responsible for code large model and Coding Agent direction. He is still actively involved in software engineering intelligence research, although his public profile does not yet reflect his new employer.
