Anthropic is considering allowing Fable 5 to stay permanently in the subscription.

According to Pulse Check Beating monitoring, whistleblower account Ali Haider claimed that Anthropic is discussing permanently retaining Claude Fable 5 in the paid subscription. The company is concerned that removing the model will result in a large number of user unsubscriptions and face competition pressure from GPT-5.6 Sol and Grok 4.5.

Anthropic has once again extended the subscription access period for Fable 5 to July 19. The Claude Code's weekly quota increase of 50% event has also been postponed. Users can still allocate up to 50% of their weekly quota to Fable 5.

Previously, Anthropic only promised to restore Fable 5 to a standard subscription feature once compute power allows. A formal announcement of permanent retention has not yet been made.
