According to the news, a consortium of Chinese investors led by Tencent is looking to repurchase all of Manus's shares from Meta at a valuation of around $2 billion.
A reporter from Southern Metropolis Daily has reached out to Tencent for confirmation, but Tencent has not responded yet. Another source familiar with the matter revealed that after this transaction, Tencent will still remain a minority shareholder but will not have a controlling stake.
