Cursor has released version 3.11: Introducing Side Chat and Conversation Search, Cloud Agent now supports additional Hooks

According to the Beating Monitor, Cursor has released the 3.11 update, introducing Side Chat and Conversation Search. Users can now open a separate chat window that inherits the context while continuing their main task as an Agent. This side chat can be kept open for an extended period and also allows users to bring the content back to the main conversation using the @ symbol.

Cursor also supports searching past Agent conversations. Users can use Cmd+K to search through thousands of chat records in the local index and use Cmd+F to find within the current conversation.

Cloud Agents have also added a new set of Hooks. Developers can now trigger actions at various nodes such as submission prompts, model responses, thinking, sub-Agent startup, and task completion to monitor the execution process, control sub-Agents, or establish automated error correction flows.
