Irish Drug Lord Clifton Collins Deposits 500 Bitcoins to Coinbase, Worth $30.76 million

BlockBeats News, July 2nd, according to Arkham Data, Bitcoin previously thought to be "permanently lost" and associated with Irish drug dealer Clifton Collins has once again been transferred. The address deposited 500 bitcoins into Coinbase, worth $30.76 million. The address still holds 4,500 bitcoins, worth $2.7716 billion.

Clifton Collins, a former beekeeper turned drug dealer, purchased bitcoins worth about $30,000 between 2011 and 2012, which are now worth close to $4 billion. Due to his claim of losing the private keys, this batch of BTC has long been considered unrecoverable. In April of this year, 500 BTC from the stash moved for the first time in 10 years, followed by another 500 BTC in May.
