The world-building startup General Intuition is in talks to raise approximately $300 million in funding.

BlockBeats News, June 19, New York-based startup General Intuition is in talks to raise about $3 billion, as the company is building a foundational model to train AI agents on how to move and act in space and time.

This fundraising round comes only eight months after General Intuition spun out from the gaming video sharing platform Medal. At that time, the company completed a $134 million seed round. If this round of fundraising is successful, it will increase its valuation to just over $20 billion.

Sources familiar with the matter said the company has received support from investors including Jeff Bezos and Eric Schmidt, as well as existing investors Khosla Ventures and General Catalyst.

General Intuition was founded and is led by Pim de Witte, co-founder of Medal, who manages the company with co-founders Eloi Alonso, Adam Jelley, and Vincent Micheli. These co-founders are all researchers focused on technology in the field of world modeling and simulation.
