Draft Agreement Revealed: Iran Agrees Not to Acquire Nuclear Weapons and Openly Operate the Strait of Hormuz, US to Waive Oil Sanctions on Iran Within a Designated Timeframe

On June 14, according to a BlockBeats report, a senior Iranian official stated that, based on a memorandum of understanding with the United States, Tehran has agreed not to produce or acquire nuclear weapons. The U.S. has agreed in the memorandum to allow Tehran to dilute its highly enriched uranium stockpile within Iran, with specific mechanisms to be discussed in the next 60 days. Iran will immediately reopen the Strait of Hormuz for all commercial vessels to pass through, while the U.S. will lift the naval blockade.

The U.S. will waive its oil sanctions on Iran within a specified timeframe, allowing Iran to sell oil and receive revenue. The U.S. has agreed to release $25 billion of Iran's frozen assets through direct cash transfers, interregional cooperation, and financial lines of credit.
