ByteBean Wallet Rolls Out Task Mode on a Large Scale: Supports Webpage and PPT Generation, Elevates Ponder Mode to Expert Mode

According to Dongcha Beating monitoring, ByteDance's AI application DouBao has extensively launched the Task Mode, changing the mode options at the top of the app interface to Quick, Expert, Task, and upgrading the Ponder Mode to Expert Mode.

The Task Mode focuses on the intelligence capability of the virtual being, able to autonomously complete task breakdown, step planning, tool invocation, and end-to-end execution of results delivery. Once users input clear goals, DouBao can automatically execute tasks in the background, such as online searches, content generation, webpage creation, or PPT generation. Currently, the core functions supported by Task Mode include generating a personal portfolio website with zero code in minutes, generating a complete PPT with one click, and automatically analyzing and visualizing data from uploaded Excel files into bar or line charts. Task Mode also supports setting up scheduled tasks to automatically generate reports, organize data, or create images in the background according to preset times.

Unlike the Task Mode which focuses on execution and delivery, the upgraded Expert Mode emphasizes thinking quality. The Expert Mode leverages the DouBao Large Model 2.0 Pro version, using a native Agent architecture to provide deep reasoning capabilities in complex scenarios such as mathematical reasoning, long text processing, and legal document verification.

In terms of pricing, DouBao's basic functions such as daily Q&A and casual conversations will remain free, while premium benefits are mainly targeted at high-computing power professional scenarios such as PPT generation, data analysis, software development, and financial analysis. The DouBao Professional Edition is priced in three tiers: the Standard Edition is priced at 68 yuan per month or 688 yuan per year, the Advanced Edition is priced at 200 yuan per month or 2048 yuan per year, and the Professional Edition is priced at 500 yuan per month or 5088 yuan per year.
