DeepSeek Founder Wenfeng Liang's College Entrance Exam Photo Unearthed: Scored Above Tsinghua University's Admission Line and Enrolled in Zhejiang University

According to Dongcha Beating monitoring, the photo of Liang Wenfeng, founder of Magic Square Quantitative and DeepSeek, when he became the top scorer in the 2002 college entrance examination and related newspaper reports have been exposed on social media.

The reports indicate that Liang Wenfeng won the top score in the college entrance examination in Zhanjiang City with a score of 806 that year. Despite reaching the admission line of Tsinghua University, he chose to apply for the Electronic Information Engineering major at Zhejiang University as his first choice.

Born into a family of teachers, Liang Wenfeng attended Wuchuan No. 1 Middle School during high school. According to newspaper reports titled "College Entrance Exam Top Scorer" at that time, Liang Wenfeng excelled in the science subjects during high school. Under the focused guidance of his physics and chemistry teachers, his ranking rose from the top 100 in the entire grade in the first year to the top 10, and he consistently maintained his position in the top 3 throughout his senior year. He started studying computers since middle school and often volunteered to repair computer equipment for the school.

When filling out his college entrance exam preferences, Liang Wenfeng's score had already exceeded the admission cutoff for Tsinghua University. However, he ultimately chose to apply for the Electronic Information Engineering major at Zhejiang University as his first choice. The report stated that Zhejiang University was ranked third in the country at that time, and Electronic Information Engineering was also his ideal major.
