Analysis: The United States is more willing to push for a deal than Iran, as Iran enters a "neither war nor peace" phase

BlockBeats News, June 8th: Discussing the latest developments in the Middle East, King's College London international security lecturer Pineford remarked that as the situation in the Strait of Hormuz stabilizes, Iran appears to be gradually entering what observers refer to as a "neither war nor peace" state. Pineford pointed out: "Currently, Iran's attitude is relatively stable, and they are not in a rush to return to the negotiating table to seek sanctions relief."

He believes that compared to Iran, the U.S. seems more clearly eager to push for an agreement, despite Trump's occasional tough remarks. "From the signals sent by Trump, there is a clear contrast," Pineford said. "On the one hand, he frequently makes strong statements about restarting wars, destroying civilizations, and the like; on the other hand, he also tweets that an agreement is within reach."

Meanwhile, when discussing Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu's decision-making logic, Pineford pointed out that Netanyahu needs to prove that Israel is taking a tough stance against Hezbollah in Lebanon, not just following Trump's policy intentions. He said: "Netanyahu must demonstrate that he is aggressively targeting Hezbollah, rather than just acting at Trump's behest."
