According to DynaBeat Monitoring, OpenAI's AI-powered tool Codex experienced 3 reliability incidents in the past 24 hours, leading to service instability. To compensate affected users, Codex lead Thibault Sottiaux announced on the X platform that all paid plan users' Codex usage limits have been reset.
In addition to the service disruptions, developers reported a recent auto-completion error in Codex. Error messages indicated that the connection was unexpectedly interrupted before the completion of the auto-completion task, making the tool difficult to use properly.
Regarding Git status recognition and caching, Codex was also flagged for issues with invalidation and residue. Developers noted that Codex failed to recognize the current project's Git status and cached outdated data, leading to crashes when clicking anywhere after a forced shutdown and restart.
