On-chain Staking Decreases by Over 3.15 Million Coins Following Price ATH, Staking Size Slightly Retreats

BlockBeats News, May 28th, according to hyperscreener data, after reaching a historic high last week, the on-chain staking amount of the Hyperliquid token HYPE has experienced a decline. The data shows that a week ago, on the day HYPE hit a new all-time high, the total on-chain staking amount reached 434.76 million tokens, with the official foundation staking amount being 234.42 million tokens and the non-foundation staking amount being 200.34 million tokens. However, as of now, the on-chain total staking amount of HYPE has dropped to 431.61 million tokens, with the official foundation staking amount at 233.36 million tokens and the non-foundation staking amount at 198.25 million tokens.

According to the data, following the new all-time high reached by HYPE, the total on-chain staking amount decreased by approximately 3.15 million tokens in the week after. Out of this, the official foundation unstaked around 1.06 million tokens, and non-foundation addresses unstaked around 2.09 million tokens.

According to HTX market data, HYPE is currently trading at $58.2, with a 24-hour decrease of 3.36%.

Market analysis believes that after a significant surge in HYPE and reaching a new high, some holders chose to unstake to increase liquidity, possibly for profit-taking, participate in secondary market trading, or engage in new DeFi strategy configurations. However, the overall staking amount currently remains above 430 million tokens, indicating that the long-term lock-up intention is still strong.
