According to Cyberbeat Intelligence monitoring, the open-source AI assistant project OpenClaw has released version v2026.5.26, bringing a significant update to mobile approval flows and audio interactions. In this new version, emoji approval support has been introduced for Signal, iMessage, and WhatsApp channels. When users receive approval requests for sensitive operations, they can simply respond with a thumbs-up emoji to authorize directly, eliminating the need to type /approve. Regarding audio interactions, the new release has integrated native audio interruption detection in Google Meet and Discord voice calls, automatically pausing playback when the AI detects the user speaking on the device. Additionally, Talk real-time voice conversations now support on-the-fly moderation, redirection, and cancellation directly from the web interface or Discord.
To streamline underlying dependencies and optimize gateway performance, the new version has introduced the proprietary image processing library Rastermill, completely replacing the bulky Sharp engine and fallback Jimp library, removing the need for developers to install additional native image libraries. During the gateway's startup phase, skipping plugin and session system scans has significantly accelerated the boot time. In terms of security defense, the browser snapshot reading interface has implemented a server-side request forgery (SSRF) filtering policy to prevent cross-origin sniffing, while the session queuing mechanism automatically cleanses malicious texts styled with trigger words, blocking plugin tag spoofing of internal commands. The new release also introduces a temporary Activity Tab, allowing developers to view real-time toolchain invocations without persisting sensitive logs.
