According to Dongcha AI Beat monitoring, CapCut announced today a partnership with Google Gemini to integrate its native video and image editing tools into the Gemini app. Users can directly use natural language commands in the Gemini chat interface to invoke CapCut for video clipping, aspect ratio adjustment, and special effects addition, all within the current chat window.
This move follows Google's Gemini Spark personal AI strategy announced at the I/O 2026 conference. Google chose not to build a professional effects library from scratch within a general AI assistant but instead leveraged Gemini as the brain to directly orchestrate external established toolchains. CapCut's official social media platforms have confirmed that this feature is set to launch soon, while Google has not yet disclosed a specific rollout schedule.
