According to the 13F filing submitted by Australia's financial services company Macquarie Group Ltd in mid-May, comparing the 13F filings for the periods ending December 31, 2025, and March 31, 2026, their IBIT holdings decreased from 5.126 million shares to 4.139 million shares, a reduction of approximately 19.3%, with the corresponding asset value decreasing from around $255 million to $159 million; their ETHA holdings also decreased from 3.634 million shares to 3.289 million shares, a reduction of about 9.5%, with the corresponding asset value decreasing from around $81.5 million to $52.1 million.
At the same time, in terms of cryptocurrency stocks, Macquarie Group reduced its position on Coinbase by 19%, but increased its stake in Circle by 188% (valued at $2.326 million as of the end of the first quarter), and also added a position in BitMine (valued at $4.153 million as of the end of the first quarter). In contrast, the company did not show aggressive buying in the AI sector either, instead adopting an overall cautious approach, with positions in NVIDIA, Palantir, AMD, among others, significantly decreasing, and only a slight increase in holdings for a few semiconductor targets like Micron Technology.
