Two American Men Arrested for Breaking into Japanese Zoo Housing Famous Internet Icon Monkey Punch to Promote Meme Coin

BlockBeats News, May 20th, according to a report by the BBC, two American men were arrested last Sunday for breaking into the Ichikawa Zoo in Japan. The zoo is home to a baby monkey named Punch, who became popular on social media earlier this year. 24-year-old Reid Jahnai Daysun climbed over a fence into the monkey enclosure, while 27-year-old Neal Jabahri Duan filmed the whole process. Following the incident, the police in Chiba Prefecture, a suburb of Tokyo, detained the two men. The video shows Daysun wearing a blue suit with smiley face emojis on it, crawling into the monkey enclosure.

The report stated that Daysun's eccentric attire appeared to mimic the emojis commonly used to promote meme cryptocurrencies. These individuals did not come into contact with Punch or any other monkeys before being apprehended by security.

The Ichikawa Zoo stated on Monday that they had reported the incident to the police and are taking measures to prevent similar events from happening again. The two men are currently facing charges of disrupting business activities, which they have denied.
