Farewell to Closed Beta? Claude Mythos Removes Preview Tag, Hinting at Potential Public Launch

According to Dynamic Insight monitoring, on May 17th, the Claude Mythos base model appeared in the Google Cloud Console's Quotas and System Limits list. In a departure from previous behavior, the model option has now officially removed the "Preview" label, and based on developer tracking, this model was not listed there yesterday.

Prior to this, Claude Opus 4.7 had also followed a similar path of appearing in the Google Cloud Console before its official release. This highly coincidental trajectory suggests that the Claude Mythos, previously under restricted testing, is likely to soon be open to the public.
