More than half of U.S. voters disapprove of Trump's economic policies

BlockBeats News, May 10th, a new poll by the Financial Times shows that over half of American voters disapprove of Trump's handling of the economy, citing concerns over inflation, rising cost of living, and the impact of a war with Iran on energy prices.

Despite reports of job growth and a resurgence in manufacturing, as well as a rising stock market, public sentiment regarding the actual cost of living has caused Trump's economic approval rating to drop to around 37%, with disapproval reaching over 55%.

The poll results highlight a disconnect between Wall Street and the general public in terms of economic perception, which could impact the Republican Party's performance in the 2026 midterm elections.
