Strategy CEO: Will Only Sell Bitcoin in Specific Cases Such as Dividend Payments or Tax Optimization

BlockBeats News, May 10th - Strategy CEO Phong Le stated that the company will only sell Bitcoin in specific circumstances, including paying a 11.5% dividend to preferred STRC shareholders and engaging in tax deferral or tax optimization arrangements. The company will assess whether selling Bitcoin or issuing stock would be more beneficial in improving the "earnings per Bitcoin" metric, and emphasized that BTC will only be sold if the transaction adds value to common shareholders. Previously, Michael Saylor mentioned that the company may "sell some Bitcoin in the future to pay dividends," attracting market attention.

As of now, Strategy holds 818,334 BTC, worth over $66 billion. Phong Le believes that based on Bitcoin's daily trading volume of around $600 billion, the company's annual dividend payout of approximately $1 billion will not have a significant impact on the market price.
