Claude Code Doubling Quota, Peak Speed Limit Removed; SpaceX Provides Backbone with 220,000 GPUs

According to OnWatch Beating monitoring, Anthropic has significantly relaxed the Claude usage restrictions with immediate effect. The 5-hour rate limit for Claude Code has been doubled, covering Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise editions; Pro and Max users are no longer throttled during peak hours; and the API quota for the Opus model has also been greatly increased.

The substantial increase in capacity was made possible because Anthropic has just secured all the computing power of the SpaceX Colossus 1 data center, with over 220,000 NVIDIA GPUs and over 300 megawatts of capacity coming online within the month, directly supporting Claude Pro and Max. Both parties have also hinted at a broader ambition: to collaborate on the development of multi-gigawatt-level in-orbit AI processing.
