Google Cloud and the Solana Foundation Launch AI Agent Pay-As-You-Go System Pay.sh

BlockBeats News, May 6th, Google Cloud and Solana Foundation jointly launched a payment system Pay.sh for AI agents, supporting on-demand payment of API fees on the Solana blockchain using stablecoins.

The system is based on the x402 protocol incubated by Coinbase, allowing AI agents to discover, call, and pay for API resources without the need to register an account or subscribe to services, realizing a "pay-as-you-go" micropayment model.

AI agents can bind their Solana wallet as an identity and recharge their balance via stablecoins or credit cards, automatically completing payments when calling cloud services such as data analysis and model inference. Pay.sh runs on Google Cloud, connecting to backend services through an API proxy layer, such as large-scale model calls and containerized applications.

Additionally, the system is compatible with the Machine Payments Protocol (MPP) and integrates with over 50 API service providers covering scenarios such as communication, e-commerce, and on-chain data. The official statement indicates that this model helps drive the development of the "Agentic Economy," allowing AI agents to autonomously consume and call internet services.
