BlockBeats News, May 1st, according to crypto analyst Wazz, starting yesterday, hundreds of wallets (many of which have been dormant for over 7 years) were drained by the same address on the ETH mainnet. Aragon team member @TheTakenUser also confirmed in a post that funds from their wallet were transferred for unknown reasons.
Currently, the root cause of this event has not been identified. Community analysis suggests that it may be due to the leakage of old mnemonics, private keys, or storage like LastPass between 2017 and 2020, or from prior dangerous authorizations, rather than a new smart contract vulnerability.
