The White House Plans to Reboot Collaboration with Anthropic, Allowing Agencies to Bypass Supply Chain Risk Assessment

According to Dynamic Beating monitoring, informed sources revealed that the White House is developing guidance to allow agencies to bypass the identification of supply chain risks related to Anthropic and introduce new models including Mythos. A draft executive action currently being prepared may provide the government with a way to mitigate conflicts with Anthropic. A source described the White House's efforts as "trying to save face while bringing them back."

Earlier this month, White House Chief of Staff Wales and Treasury Secretary Bennett met with Anthropic CEO Dario, with both describing the meeting as a productive initial discussion on how the company and government can cooperate. The White House is convening industry companies this week to provide input on potential executive actions and best practices for deploying Mythos. These meetings involve a "test reading" of potential guidance documents, which may revoke the Office of Management and Budget's previous directive prohibiting the government from using Anthropic.
