The Wall Street Journal: Meta Prepares to Unwind $2.5 Billion Manus Acquisition, Acknowledging Allowing Founder to Depart

BlockBeats News, April 28th, The Wall Street Journal reported citing sources familiar with the matter that Meta is preparing to cancel its acquisition of the AI agent startup Manus. As part of the acquisition cancellation, Meta will have to allow Manus's founders to depart.

Prior to this, Meta had used a strategy of hiring only the team without acquiring the company in previous acquisitions, so letting the founders go is akin to voluntarily dismantling the core asset of this acquisition.
