According to Data Beat monitoring, pop star Taylor Swift has filed a trademark application covering two audio segments and an image of herself. A trademark attorney stated that this move is aimed at protecting her voice and likeness from being exploited in deepfake videos and audios generated by artificial intelligence.
These applications were filed with the US Patent and Trademark Office on Friday, and the documents indicate that the ownership of these audio segments and image belongs to Taylor Swift's TAS Rights Management.
As of Monday, Taylor Swift's spokesperson has not responded to requests for comment on this matter, and the attorney listed in the application documents has also not responded.
