1 new account contributed $7,000 believing Anthropic has the best AI model this month

According to PolyBeats monitoring, on the prediction market Polymarket, a new account has placed a $7000 bet on "Will Anthropic have the best AI model by the end of April 2026?" with the current probability of "Yes" at 68.5%.

As of April 23, the top three on the leaderboard are still Anthropic's Claude model. The sole variable now is the rumored release of GPT-5.5 today. If this model launches as scheduled and outperforms Anthropic's Claude model by the end of this month, the market will settle as "No".

OpenAI's latest flagship model officially released is still GPT-5.4 launched on March 5, while the community-driven "Spud 5.5" remains a rumor and not an officially announced product by OpenAI.

Looking at the release schedule, OpenAI's recent major model updates have indeed tended to fall more frequently in the middle of the workweek. The official changelog indicates that the recent key updates have clustered around Tuesdays and Thursdays.
