Iran: First Round of Negotiations Showed Willingness, but US Response was Cool

BlockBeats News, April 22nd. Today, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Bagaei stated that Iran has not yet decided whether to participate in a new round of negotiations with the United States. Bagaei, in a media interview, said that Iran participated in the first round of negotiations with the United States with sincerity and seriousness. However, the U.S. has shown a cold attitude, lack of sincerity, and inconsistent positions.

He stated that Iran has clearly stated that if traveling to Islamabad, Pakistan to participate in the negotiations is in the national interest, Iran will participate. However, no decision has been made at the moment. Bagaei expressed that the U.S.'s blockade of Iranian ports is an act of aggression. The shooting and seizure of Iranian merchant ships by the U.S. are not behaviors that a country truly committed to a serious diplomatic process should exhibit. (CCTV International News)
