BlockBeats News, April 19th. The Iran Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy announced on the evening of April 18th local time that due to the US violation of the ceasefire agreement and failure to lift the blockade on Iranian ships and ports, the Strait of Hormuz has been closed from that evening until the US blockade is lifted.
Iran has warned that all ships in the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman are not allowed to leave their anchorage, and any approach to the Strait of Hormuz will be considered as cooperation with the enemy, with violators becoming targets of attack.
The statement also informed all ships and their owners to only obtain information through the official channels of the Revolutionary Guard Navy and related channels, stating that "the US President's statements regarding the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf are completely untrustworthy."
The local commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Navy stated that any ship disregarding warnings in the Strait of Hormuz will be targeted. If the US Navy attacks Iranian ships, they will face a "heavy blow." (Jinse)
