Codex One-Year Anniversary All-in-One Package Quota Reset, OpenAI Engineering Lead Has Codex Press RESET Button Announcement

According to Dynamic Beating's monitoring, Thibault Sottiaux, the project lead of OpenAI Codex, announced that to celebrate the one-year anniversary of Codex's launch, OpenAI has reset the usage quota limits for all plans.

The announcement method was more interesting than the news itself. Sottiaux had Codex use the newly released Computer Use feature to click on a red button labeled "RESET" in the browser, allowing it to personally reset its own quota.

In July 2024, Sottiaux joined OpenAI after leaving Google DeepMind, where he previously served as the Gemini Human Data Lead.
