BlockBeats News, April 15th, according to Business Insider's report, citing multiple sources familiar with the matter, Anthropic has recently received investment intentions from several venture capitalists, with a valuation of up to $800 billion, more than double its current valuation. For hot startups, receiving a "pre-emptive offer" from investors is not uncommon, and companies often choose to reject it. However, these offers also reflect Silicon Valley's strong demand to invest in Anthropic, especially against the backdrop of the company's potential IPO later this year. A spokesperson for Anthropic declined to comment on this.
In February this year, Anthropic completed a funding round led by GIC and Coatue, with a valuation of $380 billion, less than half of OpenAI's valuation of $85.2 billion reached last month. On the secondary market platform Caplight, Anthropic's valuation is approximately $688 billion, a 75% increase in the past three months.
Investors and entrepreneurs are impressed by Anthropic's rapid growth and the momentum of its AI programming assistant, Claude Code. Anthropic announced last week that its annual revenue has risen to $30 billion, a significant increase from the $9 billion at the end of last year. Additionally, Anthropic has released its latest model, Mythos, and stated that due to potential network attack risks, the model will not be made available to the public for now.
