Polymarket Link Briefly Surfaces on Google News Before Being Removed, Google Attributes It to an Error Push

BlockBeats News, April 12th, it was reported that the prediction market Polymarket's prediction link briefly appeared in Google News search results, being displayed alongside mainstream media such as Reuters and The Guardian, but was quickly taken down. A Google spokesperson responded, stating that the platform's appearance in Google News was an "error" and that "the site will no longer appear in the news box." Previously, when users searched for event-driven prediction questions (such as "Will the ship pass through the Strait of Hormuz"), Polymarket's prediction market entry would be directly displayed below traditional news outlets.

Both Polymarket and its competitor Kalshi have recently been actively promoting media-platform integration. Google had already partnered with both platforms last year to integrate their data into the Google Finance financial section. In addition, Platform X announced in June last year that Polymarket would be its official prediction market partner, and the cryptocurrency wallet MetaMask and World's World App have also successively integrated the Polymarket app.
