Trump Urges Slowdown in Lebanon Attack Pressure

BlockBeats News, April 10th. According to the U.S. Wall Street Journal report on the 9th, to prevent Israeli military action in Lebanon from disrupting the upcoming U.S.-Iran negotiations, U.S. President Trump has asked Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu to reduce the intensity of strikes on Lebanon. The report stated that Trump had a "harsh" conversation with Netanyahu, expressing that the U.S. understands Israel's security concerns but that Israel should ease its military strikes on Lebanon to maintain the upcoming negotiations.

A U.S. official disclosed that this time, the call between the two was "shorter than usual." The official stated that the Trump administration had never previously asked Israel to slow down its military action against Hezbollah in Lebanon. This pressure comes as Iran and the mediator, Pakistan, accused Israel of violating the ceasefire agreement. Trump is concerned that continued strikes could affect the U.S.-Iran ceasefire and disrupt the opening of the Strait of Hormuz. (Xinhua News Agency)
