OpenCLI author apologizes for "Hong Kong University Star Boosting" accusation, admits being misled by Xiaohongshu and failing to make an objective judgment

According to 1M AI News monitoring, OpenCLI author Kabikabi (Twitter @jakevin7) has issued an apology statement regarding previous allegations of GitHub Star manipulation by the Hong Kong University Data Science Lab (HKUDS).

The statement mentioned that misinformation from a Xiaohongshu (RED) post influenced the discussion on the topic, leading to an insufficiently objective judgment and expression. Moreover, due to repeated inquiries about project comparisons, there was improper emotional handling and slightly exaggerated language. The relevant inappropriate content has been removed, and apologies have been extended to CLI-Anything creator Yuhao Yang (Twitter @itsyuhao) and Assistant Professor Chao Huang from the University of Hong Kong Computer Science Department (Twitter @huang_chao4969).
