Iranian President Publicly Writes to the American People: Accuses US of Acting as "Israel's Proxy" in Iran, Questions If It Serves American Interests

BlockBeats News, April 2nd – Iranian President Mahmoud Pezeshkiyan, on April 2nd local time, published an open letter to the American people on X platform, criticizing the US military actions against Iran as essentially acting as a "proxy" for Israel, and questioning whether the "America First" policy truly serves the national interests of the United States.

In the letter, Pezeshkiyan emphasized that Iran holds no hostility towards the American people, stating that depicting Iran as a threat is neither historically nor factually accurate. He stated that Iran has never initiated a war and all its military actions fall under "legitimate self-defense."

Regarding historical matters, Pezeshkiyan mentioned the 1953 Iranian coup, stating that the event led to the interruption of Iran's democratic process and deepened Iranian distrust of the United States; he also criticized the long-term US sanctions and support for Saddam Hussein during the Iran-Iraq War.

Pezeshkiyan also accused the recent US strikes on Iran's critical infrastructure of constituting "war crimes," warning that such actions would exacerbate regional instability and increase global economic and security risks.

In the letter, he repeatedly singled out Israel, stating that it creates an "Iranian threat" to divert international attention from the Palestinian issue and attempts to "make America fight to the last soldier, spend the last penny."

Pezeshkiyan called on the American people to examine the sources of current policy information, reassess their understanding of Iran, and warned that continued confrontation would have a profound impact on future generations.
