The Trump Administration Once Discussed Seizing Imber Island

BlockBeats News, March 29th, according to The Washington Post report, in recent days, the Trump administration has been vacillating between declaring that the war is about to end and threatening to escalate the war. The White House press secretary previously warned that if Iran does not abandon its nuclear ambitions and cease threats to the United States and its allies, Trump is "prepared to launch a devastating strike against it."

According to US officials, over the past month, the Trump administration has internally discussed the possibility of seizing Kharg Island (a key Iranian oil export hub in the Persian Gulf) and conducting raids on other coastal areas near the Strait of Hormuz to search for and destroy weapons that could be used to attack merchant ships and naval vessels.

According to PolyBeats monitoring, currently in the prediction market Polymarket, the probability that Kharg Island will no longer be under Iranian control by the end of the month is 3%, and by the end of April is 30%.
