Prince Group's Associate Hu Xiaowei Sanctioned by UK

BlockBeats News, March 27th. According to Caixin, after more than two months of detention of Chen Zhi, the founder of Prince Group in Cambodia, the UK has further sanctioned the Southeast Asia fraud network, including Hu Xiaowei, who is closely associated with Chen Zhi. The UK government refers to Hu Xiaowei as a "long-term partner of Chen Zhi" in Prince Group, and their association originated from a private server of "Legend of Mir" (《传奇》), later establishing companies together domestically and overseas. On March 26th, the UK government website published this sanction information, which includes multiple individuals and entities related to the Prince Group.

Chen Zhi, 38 years old, is the founder of Prince Group, born in a fishing village in Fujian. He previously ran an Internet cafe and worked as a network administrator, starting his career by "robbing" private servers of "Legend of Mir." Over a decade ago, he moved to Southeast Asia and obtained Cambodian citizenship, quickly controlling a global online fraud network, making millions of dollars a day in his Duke-like position, with a net worth of several billion US dollars. The bitcoins confiscated by the United States alone are worth $15 billion. During the peak of his success, Chen Zhi also expanded his presence to Singapore, the UK, and Taiwan, China. In early January 2026, he was stripped of Cambodian citizenship and extradited to China on charges of fraud, illegal business operations, and concealing and disguising proceeds of crime.
