According to 1M AI News monitoring, OpenAI has added a Library feature to the ChatGPT web interface. Documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and images uploaded or generated by users will be automatically saved to a dedicated storage space for easy access during future conversations, eliminating the need for repeated uploads.
Users can browse all saved files using the Library tab in the sidebar and can reference them in the conversation input box by selecting "Recent files" or "Add from Library." Deleting a conversation will not affect saved files. Files must be manually deleted, and OpenAI will clear them from the server within 30 days. AI-generated images remain categorized under the Images tab and are not included in the Library.
This feature is globally available to Plus, Pro, and Business users, excluding the European Economic Area, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.
