GoPlus Security Alert: A user has fallen victim to a malicious transaction resulting in a loss of $200,000. Beware of Permit/Approve Phishing Attacks

BlockBeats News, March 20th, according to GoPlus Security Monitoring, an address starting with 0x9709 has signed malicious Permit and Approve transactions, resulting in approximately $200,000 of USDC and wmtUSDT being stolen by a phishing attacker.


GoPlus stated that when users sign any on-chain approval (Approve) or offline signature (Permit) requests, they must carefully verify the transaction details and contract addresses to avoid signing malicious requests from unknown sources to prevent asset theft.
