BlockBeats News, March 14th, Anthropic announced the official general availability (GA) of Claude Opus 4.6 and Claude Sonnet 4.6, with both models supporting a 1 million Token context window. Previously in beta, this capability is now open to users at the same price.
Price-wise, Opus 4.6 maintains a rate of $5 per million input Tokens and $25 per output Token, while Sonnet 4.6 is priced at $3 and $15, respectively, with a consistent unit price from the first to the one millionth Token.
In the Long Context Ability Test MRCR v2, Opus 4.6 achieved an accuracy of 78.3%, surpassing GPT-5.4 at 36.6% and Gemini 3.1 Pro at 25.9%.
Furthermore, the new models have enabled a million-token context in Claude Code, significantly reducing context compression issues when analyzing large codebases and performing log retrievals, and supporting up to 600 images or 600 pages of PDF in a single request.
