AI Infrastructure Startup Nexthop AI Raises $500 Million, Led by Lightspeed Venture

BlockBeats News, March 11th, according to Bloomberg, artificial intelligence infrastructure startup Nexthop AI raised $500 million in a funding round led by Lightspeed Venture Partners, as part of the current wave of investment to expand AI computing power.


The company, which provides network hardware and software for AI data centers, was valued at $4.2 billion after this round of funding, with Andreessen Horowitz also participating in the funding round. In addition, all of the company's existing investors, including Altimeter Capital and Kleiner Perkins, participated.


Founded in 2024, Nexthop was founded by Anshul Sadana, former Chief Operating Officer of Arista Networks Inc. The company is developing network systems for connections within and between data centers. Sadana stated that the technology aims to handle more network traffic with lower power consumption and lower latency. The company is currently collaborating with major data center operators to develop these network systems to better meet their needs.
