BlockBeats News, March 7th, according to Bloomberg, Amazon Web Services is launching an AI tool for healthcare organizations, the latest attempt by the company to expand its cloud computing business into workplace applications.
Amazon Connect Health can generate medical records from real-time conversations between doctors and patients, automatically adding billing, symptom, and procedure codes, and summarizing health data from existing medical records. The tool is also designed to help patients verify their identity to healthcare providers and schedule and manage appointments.
Amazon Web Services (AWS) Chief Medical Officer Dr. Rowland Illing said, "We know the healthcare industry is completely overwhelmed by administrative complexity."
Microsoft, Google's parent company Alphabet Inc., Oracle, and several startups are also investing in developing AI tools to streamline healthcare management processes.
