Coinbase Launches AI Agent Wallet with Built-in Security Protection

BlockBeats News, February 12th, according to Decrypt, Coinbase has launched Agentic Wallets, positioning the product as payment infrastructure, directly integrated into Coinbase's existing custody and compliance system, rather than a mere agent framework.

Coinbase's Developer Platform Engineering Manager, Erik Reppel, stated in an interview: "This is not an SDK, nor is it a library — it is a wallet built specifically to enable AI agents to operate as quickly as possible. It is not AI itself, but users can hand it over to AI agents, and AI agents will be very good at using it."
