CertiK: In 2025, there were 72 incidents of "Supply Chain Attacks," representing a 75% increase compared to the previous year, with Europe being the hardest-hit region

BlockBeats News, February 9th, according to CertiK's analysis, the "SimpSwap Attack" incidents in 2025 surged, with 72 confirmed cases, a 75% increase from the previous year. The financial losses exceeded $40.9 million, a 44% increase. However, experts believe that due to unreported incidents and the presence of confidentiality agreements, this number may be much lower than the actual impact.

Europe has become a hotspot, accounting for over 40% of global incidents, with France having the highest number of cases. The level of violence has also escalated, with physical attacks increasing by 250%. Typical cases include high-profile kidnappings of cryptocurrency holders (such as entrepreneurs and their families) in France, Austria, and the UAE.
