The U.S. Department of the Treasury sanctions the cryptocurrency exchanges Zedcex Exchange and Zedxion Exchange

BlockBeats News, January 31, the U.S. Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) sanctioned two digital asset exchanges associated with Iranian businessman Babak Morteza Zanjani, namely Zedcex Exchange and Zedxion Exchange.

Since its registration in August 2022, Zedcex has processed over $94 billion in transactions. Multiple addresses of these two exchanges have been involved in handling funds for wallets associated with Iranian officials. Additionally, OFAC also sanctioned several Iranian officials, including Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni Kalagari.
