2026-01-02 09:51

BlockBeats News, January 2nd, according to The Block, in December the spot trading volume of centralized cryptocurrency exchanges (CEX) dropped to $1.13 trillion, hitting a new low since September 2024, a 32% decrease from November's $1.66 trillion and a 49% decrease from October's $2.23 trillion.

Last month, Binance dominated the cryptocurrency trading volume on CEX, with a volume of $367.35 billion, followed by ByBit, HTX, Gate, and Coinbase. Analysts believe that factors such as seasonal sentiment, volatility suppression, and year-end position adjustments have affected the trading volume.

In addition, the trading activity on DEX also saw a slight decline last month, with the total trading volume dropping to $245 billion. This number is a 20% decrease from November's $306 billion and a 46% decrease from October's $451.2 billion. Uniswap still maintains its market leader position, with a monthly trading volume of $60 billion.
