WSJ: President Trump Pardons 'Speedway' Lobbyist Who Paid $1 Million for Market Access

2025-12-25 07:33

BlockBeats News, December 25th, according to The Wall Street Journal, Binance founder CZ has become one of the beneficiaries of a new, informal presidential pardon path that has emerged during Trump's second term. According to people close to Trump, this new practice is partly driven by Trump's own experience as a criminal defendant, giving rise to a "pardon brokerage" industry where the going rate for lobbying for a presidential pardon is $1 million.

It was revealed that those seeking pardons offered success fees of up to $6 million to some close associates of Trump, contingent on their ability to make it happen.
